Experimental Design
Fall 2016
-Engaged in design scholarship and creative problem solving using dress and modes of adornment as forms of communication and to provide solutions to real world problems.
-Engaged in an experimental process that involves a variety of approaches to include drawing, assemblage, paper sculpting, draping, flat pattern, half scale modeling and drafting.
-Developed a documentation format in the form of a research file that contains evidence of textual information, sketching and visual research that may include color, texture, graphic images, text and sketches.
-Gained an awareness of the historical background of the current state of the experimental apparel design movement including couture and designers that influence designers today.
